Twisted Stainless Steel Shackle 12 mm (A4 / V4A)

Twisted stainless steel shackle (A4/V4A) in 12 mm – made for slackline use.

The twisted shackle allows side loading without twisting – ideal for highline and longline setups where the shackle does not sit in the line of pull.

What does the twist do?

On a normal shackle, bow and pin lie in the same plane. If your webbing pulls sideways, the shackle rotates and loads the pin across its axis. On a twisted shackle the two planes are offset by 90 degrees: the loop of your webbing sits cleanly in the direction of pull, and the material is loaded the way it is meant to be.

Typical use: attaching a webbing loop directly at the anchor point, without a linelocker. For exactly that job there is also the ready-made tree anchor with twisted shackle.
