Smooth, polished stainless steel shackle (A4/V4A) – seawater resistant, with a screw pin. Smaller and lighter than a steel shackle, and thanks to its polished surface ideal for building pulley systems.

What do you need the shackle for?

The shackle is the link between your round sling or tree anchor and your linelocker, Equilocker or webbing loop. Every slackline setup contains at least two of them, one per side.

The difference to a galvanized steel shackle from the hardware store is the surface: polished A4 is smooth and burr-free and lets rope and webbing glide cleanly. That is exactly why it is the better choice in a pulley system, where the rope runs over the redirect. On top of that, it is seawater resistant, which makes it insensitive on waterlines and damp spots.

Straight or twisted?

This shackle is the standard version for a straight pull. If the shackle is loaded sideways, for example in highline and longline setups, take the twisted stainless steel shackle.

Goes well with: Equilocker, sewn loop and the pulley. All breaking strengths at a glance: material guide.
