Material Guide – How Much Can My Slackline Gear Hold?

Round sling
The round sling comes from the lifting equipment sector and is covered by EN 1492-2 with a mandatory safety factor of 1:7.
Our type has a working load limit (WLL) of 1,000 kg – which means the sling only breaks at 7,000 kg in a straight pull. When used in a choke hitch (around the tree), you deduct 20% – that still leaves a breaking strength of 5,600 kg. More than enough for any slackline.
Steel shackle
The high-strength galvanized steel shackle also comes from the lifting equipment sector. For metal parts, a safety factor of 4 is mandatory.
Our shackles have a working load limit of 3,250 kg – so the breaking strength is around 13,000 kg.
Stainless steel shackle
The stainless steel shackle is rust-free and seawater resistant. With a working load limit of 1,500 kg and a breaking strength of 6,000 kg, it is ideal for building pulley systems – thanks to its polished surface, the rope runs smoothly around the bend.
Slackline webbing 25 mm
Our 25 mm webbing has a breaking strength of at least 2,200 kg – which makes it a perfect match for the ratchets and tensioning systems we use.

Long-handle ratchet
The long-handle ratchet is stamped LC 25 kN – its breaking strength is 5,000 kg. Double pawls and built-in spacers make it the perfect companion for 25 mm and 35 mm webbing.
