Steel Ring – Linelocker / Primitive Slackline

Light, strong galvanised steel ring – ideal as a linelocker or for primitive slacklines.
30 kN breaking strength with a perfectly smooth surface, no burrs or edges, unlike chain links. Fits 25 mm webbing.
What do you need a ring for?
The ring is the simplest way to fix a slackline webbing in place: thread the webbing back through the ring and it clamps itself. For a primitive setup – the farmer's pulley rig without a ratchet – two rings are the basic kit, one as the redirect and one as the fixing point.
The smooth, galvanised surface is the key difference from a hardware-store chain link, where sharp weld-seam edges saw into the webbing and cost breaking strength.

Steel or aluminium?
The steel ring handles more load, is more abrasion-resistant and cheaper. In return it weighs 110 g instead of 38 g. For a fixed setup in the garden, the park or training, it's the right choice. When weight matters – highlines, travelling – take the aluminium ring instead.
Price per piece. You need two rings for a complete setup.
Goes well with: 12 mm stainless steel shackle, anchor webbing and Tree Protector Plus. How much your gear can take is covered in our material guide.
Manufacturer: Climbing Technology / Skylotec (model ARBO-RING STEEL S).
