M/B Loop - Main/Backup Connection for Highlines

The M/B Loop is the sewn connection between main line and backup line.

Instead of taping the line, this creates a permanent, solid and extremely durable connection. Ideal if you always rig at the same location – the constant re-taping disappears completely.

When is an M/B loop worth it?

If you rig the same highline at the same spot again and again, taping means the same work every time: tape it, check it, remove the residue when derigging. With the M/B loop, main and backup are permanently connected. You unpack, clip in and tension.

The difference to the T-loop: the T-loop sits on the mainline and takes the backup webbing. The M/B loop connects both webbings directly to each other, typically at the ends of the setup.
