With the linelocker you can set your slackline to length without damaging it – for webbing from 25 mm to 35 mm.
The key advantage over the chain link method: the webbing is not squeezed, it clamps itself. That is gentle on the material and reduces breaking strength far less.
What do you need a linelocker for?
With a linelocker you set the length of your line freely, without cutting the webbing or having a loop sewn on. You feed the webbing back over the centre bar, and under load it clamps itself. Changing the length means: unthread, rethread, done. That is exactly what makes it the standard part for webbing sold by the metre.
Anyone using a chain link instead presses the webbing together against a sharp edge. That costs breaking strength and is, over time, the most common damage point on the webbing.
